Halal Meat Marinades for Easy Family Meals

Bring bold, home-cooked flavour to your halal meat with our ready-made dry marinades. Choose a blend for chicken, lamb or beef, fish or king prawns, then coat the meat you supply and leave it to marinate for 45 to 60 minutes.

No egg, yoghurt, oil, or lemon needed.

Our four marinades suit weeknight dinners, family gatherings and summer barbecues. You can apply each blend straight to dry meat or add a light splash of water to help the coating cling.

Southern Fried Chicken Marinade

Tandoori Masala for Lamb Marinade, for Lamb or Beef

Use this dry marinade with lamb or beef for kebabs, chops, steaks, diced meat and mixed grills. The masala seasoning suits rice dishes, loaded flatbreads and barbecue plates.

Choose tender cuts for fast pan or grill cooking. Give larger lamb or beef cuts enough time in the oven and follow the cooking guidance for the cut you buy.

Dry Marinades for the Meat You Supply

We sell dry marinade blends. Each pack contains seasoning for you to apply to your own chicken, lamb or beef, fish or seafood. We do not supply pre-marinated meat as part of these products.

That gives you control over the butcher, cut and portion size. You can choose halal meat from a supplier you trust, season the amount your household needs and keep the remaining dry marinade according to the pack instructions.

Using Ever East Marinades

  1. Prepare your chosen meat, fish or king prawns with clean hands and utensils.
  2. Apply the marinade to the dry surface. You can add a light splash of water first if you want the coating to cling more closely.
  3. Coat each piece with the seasoning.
  4. Leave it to marinate for 45 to 60 minutes.
  5. Cook with a method suited to the protein and cut.
  6. Check that the food has reached a safe core temperature before you serve it.

No egg, yoghurt, oil, or lemon needed.

Avoid washing raw chicken under a running tap. Splashing water can spread bacteria around your sink and worktop. Apply the marinade to the chicken as it comes from its food-safe packaging or use a small amount of water on the surface without rinsing it.

Keep raw meat away from salads, flatbreads and cooked food. Wash your hands, boards and utensils after handling it.

Oven, Pan, Air Fryer and Barbecue Cooking

Cooking time depends on the protein, cut, thickness, starting temperature and equipment. Follow the product pack, meat packaging and appliance instructions. Use a clean food thermometer rather than judging chicken or minced meat by colour.

Air fryer

Set your air fryer no higher than 160°C when cooking with Ever East marinades. Arrange the pieces in one layer with space for air to circulate. Turn them as needed and check the centre before serving.

Chicken wings, strips, fish fillets and king prawns suit air fryer cooking. Thick chicken pieces and large cuts may need another method or more cooking time.

Oven

The oven suits chicken thighs, drumsticks, fish fillets and trays of lamb or beef. Place the food in an oven-safe tray and choose the temperature and cooking time for the cut. Check more than one piece if sizes vary.

Frying pan

A pan works well for chicken strips, thin lamb or beef pieces, fish fillets and king prawns. Cook in batches if crowding causes the pan temperature to drop. Turn delicate fish with care.

Barbecue or grill

Chicken, lamb or beef kebabs and mixed grills suit direct barbecue cooking. Prevent flare-ups and move thicker pieces away from fierce heat so the centre can cook without burning the coating.

Cook chicken and minced-meat dishes through. The UK Food Standards Agency advises a core temperature of 75°C for 30 seconds, or an equivalent time and temperature combination. Whole cuts of lamb or beef need thorough surface cooking; choose the centre finish according to the cut and current food-safety guidance.

Fish should turn opaque and separate into flakes under a fork. King prawns should turn opaque through the centre. A thermometer gives you a firmer check for thick portions.

Fish and Seafood Meal Ideas

The Tandoori Masala for Fish Marinade gives you several options beyond grilled fish.

  • Air-fried cod or haddock: Serve in wraps with salad or beside chips and peas.
  • Pan-fried salmon or sea bass: Add rice and cooked vegetables for a weeknight dinner.
  • Oven-cooked tilapia or basa: Cook several fillets on one tray for a family meal.
  • Tandoori king prawns: Serve with rice, flatbreads or salad at lunch or a gathering.
  • Mixed fish tray: Use white fish fillets of a similar thickness so each portion cooks at the same rate.

Fish and prawns cook faster than many meat cuts. Check them early and remove each piece once the centre has cooked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Ever East products pre-marinated halal meat?

No. We sell dry marinade blends for meat, fish and seafood that you supply. Buy your halal meat from a butcher or retailer you trust, then apply the chosen Ever East marinade at home.

Do I need yoghurt, oil or lemon?

No egg, yoghurt, oil, or lemon needed. Apply the dry marinade to the meat or add a light splash of water first to help it cling.

Do I have to wet the meat?

No. You can apply the marinade to dry meat. A light splash of water offers another option if you want more of the coating to cling to the surface.

How long should I marinate the meat?

Leave the coated meat, fish or king prawns to marinate for 45 to 60 minutes. Keep perishable food chilled during the marination period and follow the storage guidance on its packaging.

Can I use the lamb marinade with beef?

Yes. Tandoori Masala for Lamb Marinade suits lamb or beef. Use it for suitable chops, steaks, diced meat, kebabs or oven-cooked cuts.

Which fish can I use?

Try cod, haddock, salmon, sea bass, tilapia, basa or other white fish fillets. Tandoori Masala for Fish Marinade also suits king prawns.

Can I air fry the marinades?

Yes. Keep the air fryer temperature at 160°C or below. Cooking time depends on the protein, cut, thickness and appliance, so check the centre with a food thermometer where suitable.

Can I cook marinated fish in a frying pan or oven?

Yes. You can air fry, pan fry or oven-cook fish coated with Tandoori Masala for Fish Marinade. Choose your cooking time according to the species and thickness of the fillet.

Can I use the marinades for a barbecue?

Chicken and the lamb or beef marinade suit barbecue and grill cooking. Manage the heat so you cook the centre without scorching the seasoning. Fish can break apart on grill bars, so an air fryer, pan or oven may give you more control.

Where can I find ingredient and allergen details?

Read the current label and product listing before purchase and use. Contact us before ordering if you need confirmation about a specific ingredient, allergen or halal requirement.
